Education: |
Most employers require experience in a related occupation, such as teacher or admission counselor, and a master's or doctoral degree. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are extremely important because much of the administrator's job involves working with others. Some knowledge of management principles and a familiarity with computer technology is a plus for principals. Advanced degrees in higher education administration, educational supervision, and college student affairs are offered in many colleges and universities.
